Caution: This is the main risk of pre-cooked food
Pre-cooked food presents a series of health risks, some of which are well known. We'll explain them in detail so you can avoid them.
Imagine the following situation: The alarm clock crackles against the four walls of your room with the force of a whip. You can't believe it's time to get up. You feel like you just went to sleep. You uncover yourself and prepare to make breakfast, but with the speed at which your neurons seem to be working, it's best to make some coffee and wear what you're wearing. You wear your usual suit, tie your tie, button your shirt, apply some hair gel, brush your teeth, grab your car keys, and leave the house for a new day at the office. And when you've already covered a couple of kilometers on your way to work, you realize you've forgotten your lunch.

It's true that a Tupperware container, as we mentioned earlier, isn't usually the healthiest option, but it's the only alternative you have, and you're already too far gone to turn back. The only option is to try your luck at a restaurant whose menu more or less fits the diet you're following, which, by the way, you adhere to strictly. But suddenly, your neurons, atrophied in the morning, come up with a plausible solution: a pre-cooked meal. You could escape for a few minutes to the supermarket across the street to see what they might have. Without knowing, of course, that you're making a mistake.
Pre-cooked food, or rather, the overuse of it, is one of the leading causes of death in Brazil, where rice and beans are the order of the day and are often served pre-prepared in very precarious food safety conditions.
The Risk
The main risk of consuming these dishes without moderation lies in the large amount of ultra-processed foods they contain to facilitate the preservation process. These include large amounts of sodium, which can be toxic to the body in high doses.

And, of course, they also contain the flagship ingredient of ultra-processed foods: sugar and trans fats, responsible for common conditions such as overweight or various types of diabetes, and even obesity in the worst cases.
